Network Location Cannot Be Reached While Joining To Domain ( Windows System )

In this article we will see the fix for error which comes while joining a windows system ( windows7 Windows8 WindowsXP ) to domain

Network Location Cannot Be Reached (1)

Note: This fix will work only if you are able to ping your domain and you get authentication prompt asking for user and password while joining to domain, you get this error after giving username and password in the authentication box.

Fix:

1- Go to Control Panel>Network and Sharing Center>Change Adapter Settings
2- Right Click Local Area Connections> Properties
3- You should see Client for Microsoft Networks items in the list as shown below, if its unchecked, then check mark it and close and  restart your system, and try to Join the system to domain again, it will work fine.

4- If you are not able to see Client for Microsoft Networks item in the list, then you have to install this item manually

5- Click Install> Select Client from the options available> then select Client for Microsoft Networks and click Ok

Network Location Cannot Be Reached (4)6- Now, Client for Microsoft Networks service will appear in the list, Select OK and restart the System
7- Try now to join the system to Domain, it should work fine.
